FPI Baltic helps in emergency cases

FPI Baltic has joined the centralised defibrillator network and is ready to be a help in emergency cases.

An automatic heart defibrillator is the main device in the case of cardiac arrest and if proper defibrillation is performed before the arrival of the EMTs survival rates increase significantly.

Registering a defibrillator in the network allows emergency medical dispatchers to see the nearest defibrillator therefore this life-saving device might be used sooner.

FPI Baltic doesn‘t want anyone to choose between life and death, so our company will be thrilled to contribute to saving a person‘s life.

FPI Baltic challenges Gen Z students

FPI Baltic has just completed 4 months cooperation with Kaunas Technology University, in which students have dived into practical analysis of company’s IT solutions, marketing policy and management specifics.

Though FPI Baltic is a stable and successful furniture manufacturer it gladly accepted the proposal to work with students, who are inventive, resourceful, energetic and often thinks out of the box. Associate professor and lecturer of project management discipline Meda Andrijauskiene has given a solid foundation of theoretical knowledge for more than 40 students  therefore they have been able to present original and grounded solutions for challenges the company has raised: to prepare an effective model for communication, to propose IT solutions for project management, to think of project managers’ agenda optimization and to create a marketing campaign for boosting brand awareness.

Out of ten four teams have been nominated as ‘best solution’ winners and FPI Baltic has given out prizes saying that hard work and original ideas always must be rewarded.

CEO Dalia Aarflot says that experience is a priceless value, but future lays in novelties and constant looking ahead.

FPI Baltic sticking to trends

FPI Baltic team has just come back from international trade fair Interzum and is ready to offer fresh and innovative ideas for the clients.

Interzum is one of the most important events for everyone involved or interested in the furniture and interior design industry. The exhibition took place on the 9th -12th of May in Cologne and included materials and components for furniture production and interior design, machinery, mattresses, cover materials, lighting technology and other.

All suppliers were giving attention to growing customer’s demands and mainly focusing on innovations, sustainability and future trends.

Technical expert Edita Aleksiene shares her impression: “The fair was a perfect place to feel the pulse of the industry. It’s surprising how creatively not only secondary materials but also biomass – seaweeds, moss, food waste and even salmon leather or animal bone fragments – can be used in materials for furniture production and in packaging solutions. In addition, we are always happy to see that our suppliers of components Hettich and Salice offer innovative and practicable solutions. Their functionality is marked by such exceptional aesthetics.”

New possibilities in metal furniture production

Recently FPI Baltic has bought two brand new fiber laser cutting machines both for tube and sheet cutting. This metal working technology combined with traditional metal working machinery opens wide spectrum of new possibilities.

Laser beams may achive extremely precise cuts, difficult shapes and forms, this results in less waste and more efficient use of raw materials. In addition, these metal cutting lasers have such substantial benefits as electrical efficiency, cheaper maintenance, easy and convenient handling. The head of metal department Simas Stanislovaitis says that even every operator sees an advantage of automatic regulation which helps to avoid errors caused by manual operation and frees theirs hands.

FPI Baltic increases production efficiency (i.e. time saving and quality increase) by 30% using these laser cutting machnines, therefore is able to offer metal furniture at really competitive prices.

In CEO Dalia Aarflot words, it‘s an investment of the year and a substantial boost to our business.
